| Now first to download python go to python download site (https://www.python.org/downloads/) and then download python here you can see there are two version of python are there one is python 3.x.x series and another is python 2.7.x series . I insist to the new-bee to download python 2.7.x series . It is the best according to me . Just use the link to download and save in your predefined path . after installation done . we shale able to see Python2.7 directory / folder in your start menu ; inside this folder IDLE is present ; IDLE is the default IDE (Integrated Development environment ) for python this is simple and light weight environment .Click this IDLE and command prompt shall appear with >>> prompting ; this is your env , start coding here . Now to your command prompt by typing cmd in the search area of the start menu . when cmd is open please type python This is will give you a error message as follows "python is not a external or internal command". This is because you didn't set the environmental variables . Process to set the Environmental Variable : step 1: First navigate to your installation directory means where the python is installed (most of user make it C:) then find Python27 directory and the also find Scripts directory insider the Python 27 directory . Step:-2 : - Copy the location of this two directories , as follows C:\Python27;C:\Python27\Scripts . Step-3 :- Open Control panel and navigate to this location Control Panel\System and Security\System . Here you will find "Advance System Settings" Click it , and window will appear in this window click on "Environmental variables ". Step 4:- After clicking the "Environmental variables " from the Environmental variables window , look for the Path under the System variable. Click on Edit, and add this ;C:\Python27;C:\Python27\Scripts (remember to put semnicolon). All Done . |

And then type python ; this will open the python prompt for you ...
If every thing is OK .. Command prompt shall be like this , else you can use the IDLE
